A careers lead we’ve worked with for five years recently left the profession. In a two week period she had one thirty minute break. That’s what careers provision in schools is up against, they’re committed and they care, but they lack resource to do the job properly. 

Universities face a different version of the same problem. Employability outcomes are measured, scrutinised and they’re under pressure to deliver. The budget rarely matches.

We work with schools and universities to fill that gap. Practical, employer informed programmes built around what actually happens when a student applies for a job and what employers look for in young people.

We've sat with the student whose parents didn't know the guidance we gave them even existed, the one offered an apprenticeship who turned it down because nobody had ever shown the family the alternatives, and the student working two jobs to fund their degree with no time left for networking. These students aren't failing. They're navigating a system that wasn't built for them, and they just need someone to open the door.
